FOUNDER, PSYCHOTHERAPIST, CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST

Danielle Callaghan, LCPC, ALMFT, PMH-C, CLS

I became a therapist because I believe that emotional support can change everything, especially during the seasons of life that ask the most of us

I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. But before any of those credentials, I spent over a decade as a Child Life Specialist in the pediatric emergency department and NICU, sitting with families through some of their most vulnerable and tender moments.

Those years taught me something I carry into every therapy session: people don't need someone to fix their pain. They need someone to sit with them in it, without flinching. That is the kind of support I set out to offer.

Today, I specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting individuals and couples navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, birth trauma, and the identity shifts that come with becoming a parent. My approach is trauma-informed and relational, grounded in empathy and clinical expertise, and always guided by your story.

Whether you are facing a high-risk pregnancy, a NICU stay, postpartum anxiety, or the quiet overwhelm of carrying more than anyone around you realizes, you will find a space here where your experience is taken seriously and your resilience is recognized.

Outside the therapy room, my life is a blend of motherhood, meaning, and messiness. I'm in it, too. Learning to be present, letting go of perfection, and holding space for myself the way I try to hold it for my clients. Whether I'm soothing a fussy baby at 3 a.m. or catching a sunset on a stroller walk, I carry the same intention I bring to my work: curiosity, compassion, and care.

I offer virtual therapy throughout Illinois, and I am currently accepting new clients.
